FEATURES:
1. Mounted on a central pier.
2. The central per allow the bridge to rotate to the side.

APPLICATIONS:
1. As this type requires no counter
weights, the complete weight is significantly reduced as compared to other movable bridges.
2. Where sufficient channel is available to
have individual traffic directions on each side, the likelihood of
vessel-to-vessel collisions is reduced.
3. Uncommonly used because the central pier
is located in the area where boats like to travel.
